FCC chairman taps chief of staff

FCC chairman Julius Genachowski has attracted on Zachary Katz as his chief of staff, succeeding Eddie Lazarus, who's departing within the finish in the month. Katz remains chief counsel to Genachowski after joining the FCC this past year and achieving legal agent to Genachowski and deputy chief in the commission's Office of a good Planning and Policy Analysis. He's introduced initiatives including the introduction of the Connect America Fund, which awesome the agency's Universal Service Fund and Intercarrier compensation programs. He offered inside the White-colored House Counsel's office and practiced at Munger, Tolles & Olson in La. Prior to going following a legitimate career he labored with technology companies inside a proper speaking to firm in Plastic Valley. Genachowski also introduced numerous new visits. Sherrese Cruz, senior counsel and legal agent, will finish up chief counsel and senior legal agent Amy Levine, presently special counsel and legal agent, will finish up senior counsel and legal agent. Michael Steffen, presently at the office of general counsel within the FCC, grew to become part of Genachowski's office as legal agent.
