Follow up to Angelina Jolie's 'Wanted' Progresses With Familiar Screenwriters

Universal/Courtesy Everett Collection Derek Haas and Michael Brandt feel Wanted once again. The screenwriting duo happen to be drawn on to operate on Wanted 2 for Universal, that is developing the follow up towards the hit action movie starring Julia Roberts and James McAvoy. The 2008 movie, directed by Timur Bekmambetov, took it's origin from a comic book small-series by Mark Millar and J.G. Johnson and dedicated to a disillusioned office manager who finds out his father was a part of a secret society of super-human assassins. Brandt and Hass authored the screen story and shared screenwriting credits with Chris Morgan. The film made $341 worldwide, therefore it wasn't lengthy before Universal put a follow up into development. But getting a story demonstrated harder to hack. Morgan was commissioned to operate around the project in nov 2008. Last Year, Evan Spiliotopoulos was triggered board prior to the project silently faded away. Now Haas and Brandt will move the Wanted 2 needle forward, according to Spiliotopoulos' work. Marc Platt is creating alongside Bekmambetov. Jim Lemley, Ken Levin and Jason Netter are also creating. Shaun Kirschenbaum and Anikah McLaren are managing the work for the studio. Haas and Brandt authored the approaching Richard Gere political thriller The Double, that also marks Brandt's directorial debut.
